Theodore Museme when President Tshisekedi finishes his 5-year term, the population will want him to stay.
The re-elected President already knows the Congolese spirit and their problems after touring 26 provinces in 20 days of the electoral campaign, as mentioned by Theodore Museme, a high-ranking member of UDPS Tshisekedi’s party, in an exclusive interview with Bkinfos.net.
These past 5 years of Tshisekedi’s power have been years of hope that will not be like previous years, says our interlocutor, who emphasizes that the re-elected President Tshisekedi, known by the Congolese people, already understands the ins and outs.
« The re-election of President Tshisekedi is a blessing for the Congolese people because he already knows very well the people around him and the real problems of the Congolese. I am sure that when this mandate ends, the population will want him to stay.
And if he leaves, this same population will want someone from UDPS who follows in Fatshi’s footsteps, » said Theodore Museme, a member of UDPS, in an exclusive interview with Bkinfos. UDPS is already considering maintaining power after President Felix Tshisekedi’s term.
According to Theodore Museme, UDPS is already thinking about an alternative candidate who will continue the work.
Theodore Museme also believes that the current political context is an advantage in this reelection after the political hurdles of the first term.
« The current political context will not be the same as when President Tshisekedi took power because we lost 9 months between January 20, 2019, and September 2019, and then 1.5 years for FCC CACH affairs, not to mention the composition of the Sacred Union, which is demanding.
» This UDPS member also acknowledges that there will be elected representatives in all territories.
« We believe that and we are confident in the way we have worked on the ground, that all territories in South Kivu would have chosen the Union for Democracy and Social Progress with the elected representatives of the coalitions to decide the future of the country’s management. »
