Une pirogue motorisée a coulé sur l’île d’idjwi la nuit du 2 au 3 Avril 2023dans le groupement de Mugote avec à son bord 150 personnes qui se rendaient à Goma selon les sources officielles.

Selon l’administrateur du territoire d’Idjwi monsieur Mamboleo Mustapha parmi les 150 personnes qui etaient à bord de ce boat, il y a déjà 80 rescapées, 6 corps sans vie déjà repêchés et 64 sont jusque là introuvable.

Le surchargement serrait à la base de ce noyade renseigne toujours cette source qui indique que des recherches se poursuivent pour trouver d’autres corps perdus.
